Netflix announces premiere date for 'Sex Education' season 3

Netflix has announced that the third season of Sex Education will premiere on the platform later this year following pandemic-induced delays to filming.

Season two ended back in January 2020 and fans have been eagerly awaiting to see what happens next thereafter. Finally, the return of the antics is now upon us.

Netflix shared the update with a series of first-look photographs, writing: “The wait is almost over! Sex Education season 3 premieres September 17.”

As far as plot developments go there is still very little to go on. Otis may have confessed his feelings to Maeve, but it looks like we’ll remain in the dark until the action unfurls as far as that is concerned.

Fortunately for fans, the show has also confirmed that all the old familiar faces will be returning with Eric (Ncuti Gatwa); Jean (Gillian Anderson); Aimee (Aimee Lou Wood); Adam (Connor Swindells); Jackson (Kedar Williams-Stirling); Ola (Patricia Allison); Lily (Tanya Reynolds); and Mr Groff (Alistair Petrie), all reprising their roles.

While the old stalwarts of the show return, there will also be an injection of fresh blood from the acclaimed Jason Isaacs and the up-and-coming stars Jemima Kirke and Dua Saleh.

There is no trailer at the time being, but we’ll keep you updated and for now you can relive some of the action from season two below.
