Netflix reveals three trailers for 'The Witcher' season 2

Henry Cavill-led Netflix’s The Witcher is coming back for its second season on 17th December 2021, and Netflix has quite recently revealed three new trailers along with the first look for The Witcher: Blood Origin and fans are excited about it.

While the first two trailers titled ‘Nivellen’ and ‘Geralt & Ciri’, give specific insight into scenes from the upcoming season while the third clip titled ‘Road to Season 2/ Vesemir’, sticks to a traditional trailer format.

In ‘Nivellen’, the titular cursed man like Duny makes an appearance. His physical attributes are boar-like. However, the trailer shows him throwing silver knives that confirms that he is no monster.

The scene goes on to show Nivellen and Geralt talking about how witchers are made, an insight that was revealed to us in the prequel anime series The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf

‘Geralt & Ciri’ shows a monster attacking the duo and Ciri witnessing Geralt taking a potion that makes him look scary and possessed. Ciri is terrified by the transformation and Geralt asks her to move in order to protect her against the unseen entity whose freaky sounds can be heard in the background.

‘Road to Season 2/Vesemir’ is the longest trailer that provides a look at Vesemir, whose animated version we are well-acquainted with. He is, however, nothing like his animated self. Portrayed by Killing Eve’s Kim Bodnia, Vesemir’s heavily accented features make him appear quite different from the chirpy character we met in The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf

Netflix also provided a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming prequel show The Witcher: Blood Origin that shall focus on how witchers came into existence, documenting the story of the first-ever witcher.
