Netflix reveals new cast members for ‘Sex/Life’ season 2

One of the steamiest shows on Netflix, Sex/Life, has been renewed for a second season. Recently, Deadline announced the new cast members for the series.

Created by Stacy Rukeyser, this 2021 show went on to become one of the most-watched shows of the year due to the abundance of raunchy sex scenes, especially the infamous shower scene that led to a lot of discussions on Twitter.

Starring Sarah Shahi, Mike Vogel and Adam Demos, this show focused on the tribulations of a woman undergoing a mid-life crisis and undergoing a sexual reawakening.

A suburban mother is bored of her goody-two-shoes husband and their subpar sex life and often fantasises about her torrid affair with an ex.

When her husband reads the diary, he wants to reenact the scenes with his wife, but chaos ensues when the ex arrives in their lives. The mother finds herself at moral crossroads when past rendezvous threatens to destabilise everything she has built.

With eight titillating episodes, the show caused an uproar and was inspired by BB Easton’s raunchy memoir, 44 Chapters About 4 Men

The new cast members have now been announced. Tony-nominated actor Craig Bierko is set to play Mick. He will be joined by She’s Gotta Have It’s Cleo Anthony as Kam, Darius Homayoun from Succession as Majid, Orphan Black’s Dylan Bruce as Spencer and Batwoman actress Wallis Day as Gigi.

Netflix has not yet announced the release date, but the second season will premiere sometime in 2022.
