Netflix releases the trailer for ‘Grace and Frankie’ season 7

Last week, Netflix released some first-look photos from the final 12 episodes of the fan-favourite show Grace and Frankie. After airing the first four episodes of the seventh season in August 2021, the show will finally come to an end with these episodes that are scheduled to premiere on August 29th, 2022.

Now, Netflix has released the trailer for the final episodes, calling it Grace and Frankie 7B.

Starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as the titular characters whose lives are upended when their husbands declare themselves to be gay and marry each other, the six seasons have chronicled their incredible friendship. A beautiful take on love, sexuality, ageing and friendship, the show resonated with Netflix viewers due to its light-hearted moments.

The trailer ends with Fonda saying, “We’re not done yet. And the best is yet to come,” as they promise to bid a bittersweet farewell to their characters.

The trailer also features their ex-husbands played by Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston, as well as their kids, portrayed by Ethan Embry, Brooklyn Decker, Baron Vaughn and June Diane Raphael.

The oddities of the two women make them inseparable and the trailer marks the beginning of the end of the era which might also subtly hint at mortality. It seems emotional, sweet and hilarious, just like every other season of the show.

Created by Marta Kaufmann, as Fonda says, “it was a crazy ride, but I would rather take a crazy ride with you than a normal ride with anybody else.”
