Netflix provides a first-look at ‘The Gray Man’ with Ryan Gosling

Netflix has recently released the first-look images for The Gray Man, scheduled for a 2022 release. Starring Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas and Rege Jean Page, this highly anticipated release has been directed by Marvel Cinematic Universe alum the Russo brothers, Anthony and Joe.

The upcoming $200 million espionage action thriller film will star Gosling as the titular Gray Man, a CIA veteran. He is forced to be on the run after being betrayed by his agency. Evans plays another CIA operative, Lloyd Hansen, with a distinguished moustache, tasked with hunting the Gray Man down.

The 2022 lineup trailer showed Gosling engaging in some terrific action stunts on the top of a tram, and the viewers even saw Evans as an antagonist, smirking into the phone. When Gosling said, “I already don’t like you,” Evans followed it with a sharp retort, “Right back at you, sunshine.”

The rest of the ensemble includes Billy Bob Thornton, Wagner Moura, Jessica Henwick, Dhanush, Julia Butters, Eme Ikwuakor and others. It has been pencilled in for a summer 2022 release.

Among the first-look photos released by Netflix, Gosling is shown in various action poses. In one, he is seen hanging from a train, while in the other, he is seen holding a rifle, pointing at an unknown target.

De Armas, who will be seen as one of Gosling’s allies, is seen sporting a sleek bob, almost reminiscent of Uma Thurman from Pulp Fiction, while Jean Page will be seen as the director of the CIA’s National Clandestine Service. He is seen looking quite agitated while donning a crisp suit.

Netflix has also released a picture of a very distinguished Chris Evans with a gun in his hand. Evans looks as sleazy and cunning as his character requires him to be.
