First look at Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling Netflix film ‘The Gray Man’

Netflix released a video on their official YouTube channel talking about all the exciting upcoming 2022 Originals that featured the highly-anticipated film starring Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, Rege-Jean Page and Ana de Armas.

Titled The Gray Man, the film is being directed by the Russo brothers, Anthony and Joe, who are known for helming the Avengers universe within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The upcoming $200 million espionage action thriller will see Gosling as Court Gentry aka Gray Man, a CIA veteran, who is forced to be on the run after being betrayed by his agency.

Evans plays the antagonist named Lloyd Hansen, a CIA operative, who is tasked to hunt the Gray Man down.

In the clip, Gosling is seen doing some terrific stunts on top of a tram and the viewers are given an insight into Evans’ character that sports a well-trimmed, distinguished moustache. As Gosling says, “I already don’t like you”, Evans smirks back into the phone, “Right back at you, sunshine.”

We also get a brief look at Ana de Armas and Rege-Jean Page. The rest of the ensemble includes Billy Bob Thornton, Wagner Moura, Jessica Henwick, Dhanush, Julia Butters, Eme Ikwuakor and others. It has been pencilled in for a summer 2022 release.

Joe Russo praised Gosling and Evans’ chemistry, drawing a parallel between that of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro’s brilliant camaraderie in the 1995 Michael Mann crime drama, Heat

Calling it “fantastic” and “electric”, Russo said that the “intense action film” would see “very, very entertaining performances from both actors, and they’re absolutely pitted against each other in the movie.”
