Rapper Kanye West’s documentary has been in the making for more than two decades. The three-part project has been purchased for a whopping $30 million and Netflix has announced the release date for the documentary titled jeen-Yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy.

The documentary is slated for a February 16th, 2022 premiere and has got fans around the globe excited.

Described by Netflix as a “once in a lifetime three-week global event”, the documentary will give a deeper insight into the notorious rapper’s controversial career.

The documentary will feature archival footage, domestic videos and more, providing an intimate insight into the life and persona of West, tracing his career trajectory as a rapper while also taking a look at how he evolved as a person.

Created by Coodie & Chike aka Clarence Simmons and Chike Ozah, the headhunters of Creative Control, this film marks their third collaboration with West after having directed the visuals for West’s ‘Through the Wire’ and the third part of ‘Jesus Walks’. Time Studios will be co-producing the documentary with Creative Control.

The first act, titled ‘Act 1’ will be released in cinemas on February 10th, 2022. The brand new trailer features familiar faces like Jay-Z, Kid Cudi and Pharrell Williams and shows the rapper arguing over his genius in 2002.
