Netflix has shared a teaser for new horror show '1899'

Netflix has an exciting set of German-language releases slated for 2022 which includes the highly-anticipated horror series 1899 which comes from the co-creators of Netflix’s popular German series, Dark

Created by Baran bo Odar and Janje Friese, the series is set to be “darker” than Dark and will focus on the nightmarish anguish faced by various immigrants as they face a sudden occult disturbance onboard a ship which is travelling from Europe to New York.

Although it is one of the most-anticipated releases of the year, not much has been revealed about the upcoming show. However, the Netflix Geeked Twitter account shared a new teaser for the show which is only 19 seconds long and shows a plethora of images and introduces some of the main characters in rapid succession.

The caption of the post says, “What is lost will be found”, indicating a wild, ominous journey.

Among a few hidden Easter eggs, a line of triangles is shown on a piece of paper which could potentially indicate the Bermuda Triangle, as pointed out by some viewers in the comments.

Triangles will seemingly form a big part of the show as a triangle tattoo with a line through it later appears in one of the images.

The clip also has a continuous sound of Morse code which has piqued people’s interest. While Morse code has always been a huge part of conspiracies and pop culture, a person in the comments translated the Morse code.

Apparently, it reads, “Teaser coming June 6, 1899.”

This indicates that the official teaser trailer for the show will arrive on June 6th, 2022, which would also provide a release date for this much-awaited series.
