Netflix cancels ‘Cursed’ after just one series

Netflix has cancelled Cursed, starring 13 Reasons Why’s Katherine Langford, after only one season.

The ten-episode season followed a teenage sorceress named Nimue, who encounters a young King Arthur on her quest to find a powerful and ancient sword.

While Devon Terrell who played King Arthur in the series had hoped there would be a follow-up because they had “only scratched the surface of what the show could be,” has had his hopes dashed.

The fantasy drama also starred the likes of Gustaf Skarsgard as Merlin, Teen Wolf‘s Daniel Sharman as Lancelot, Sebastian Armesto as King Uther, Lily Newmark as Pym, Peter Mullan as Father Carden, Matt Stokoe as Gawain and Shalom Brune-Franklin as Morgana.

However, owing to the expense of making a grand fantasy of that nature, the show required huge viewing figures to justify the cost, viewing figures that sadly weren’t forthcoming.

The series also only sits on a rating of 5.9/10 after over 25,000 votes on IMDb, so it hasn’t really ticked the critical acclaim box either.

As of yet none of the stars are yet to comment on the cancellation.
