Netflix apologises for ‘Love Is Blind’ technical difficulties

Netflix have apologised after their planned Love Is Blind live reunion show was delayed for over an hour due to technical difficulties.

Viewers who arrived to watch the live show at the planned time were instead greeted by a message which read: “There’s an issue with the live stream. Hang tight! We’re trying to fix it as soon as possible.”

It took over an hour for the broadcast to eventually begin. However, by that time, many of the viewers had moved on. One fan voiced their frustration on social media, writing: “You’re telling me I waited all day to watch the Love Is Blind live reunion and it won’t load because Netflix was not a platform built for live TV?”

The show finally aired an hour and 15 minutes after the initial planned time. Hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey announced: “I want to say, we are sorry we’re late. We are no longer live but we are here!”

Adding: “Yes, finally. All of you at home, you haven’t missed a thing. We’ve actually been sitting here on these couches not talking to each other.”

Netflix have since issued a statement explaining: “To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon… we are incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned.”

Concluding: “We’re filming it now and we’ll have it on Netflix as soon as humanly possible. Again, thank you and sorry.”
