‘Lupin’ season four is set to arrive in autumn 2026

Are you ready for Omar Sy to reprise his role as the gentleman thief Assane Diop in Lupin? Well, even if you’re not, Netflix definitely is!

The cameras already started rolling for the highly anticipated fourth season in May. As of now? The production is well underway for the high-stakes return this fall.

Scheduled to arrive on October 23rd, the fourth part of the beloved heist thriller, Lupin, is confirmed to shake the ground beneath your feet soon. But it turns out that it’s not just the fans whose anticipation has hit the roof; the same applies to the star of the show, Sy.

In a recent conversation with Tudum, Sy opened up about his comeback, saying, “I often say that Lupin is an extraordinary plaything. I find great joy in it every time.” Well, honestly, we’re all on the same page about that.

For those in need of a refresher, the third part of Lupin saw Assane robbing the Black Pearl, enjoying the unexpected backing of the French public, faking his own death, and saving his mother’s life despite years of estrangement. It is at that time that the realisation ultimately dawns upon him that the only safe route for his wife, son, mother, and best friend is his sacrifice. As a result, season three culminates with Assane surrendering to the police.

With Assane behind bars, Lupin’s third season ended with fans hoping the imprisonment wouldn’t last long. But only part four of the hit Netflix thriller can reveal what really holds the future.

As one of the most popular non-English productions of Netflix’s history, the first three seasons of Lupin are placed in the third, sixth, and tenth positions, respectively, in the streamer’s all-time rankings. While the fourth season is definitely expected to follow in the footsteps, fans will have to hold their horses a little longer to find out for themselves.

“Together with Netflix, Carousel, and Gaumont, we’ve invested the time needed to raise our ambitions and deliver more surprises and enjoyment, both for us and the audience. The fresh energy from Carrousel Studios aligns perfectly with this vision. I’m eager to share the new episodes with as many people as possible,” Sy added.

Although the details about Lupin’s fourth season are currently under wraps, do check back later for more information. And in case you feel too restless, watch or rewatch the first three seasons ahead of the October return.
