Lindsay Lohan and Kristin Chenoweth are set to co-star in the upcoming Netflix film Our Little Secret, a holiday comedy that marks the second film in Lohan’s two-film deal with the streamer.
Our Little Secret, which as yet has no release date, will follow two exes who are forced to spend the holidays together after discovering that their new partners are siblings.
Lohan, who made her 2022 acting comeback with Netflix’s Falling For Christmas, stars alongside Chenoweth, best known for her Broadway roles and a part in the musical comedy series, Schmigadoon!.
Directed by Stephen Herek (101 Dalmatians and Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure) with writing from Hailey DeDominicis and produced by Mike Elliot, Lisa Gooding, and Joseph P. Genier, the cast will also feature a small reunion of the Mean Girls cast, with Tim Meadows starring alongside Lohan and Chenoweth.
Meadows, who played a high school principal in the 2004 original Mean Girls, is joined by Ash Santos, Ian Harding, Jon Rudnitsky, Chris Parnell, Tim Meadows, Dan Bucatinsky, Henry Czerny, Katie Baker, Jake Brennan, and Brian Unger.
Although it’s an unusual pairing, both have ample experience with Christmas and comedy movies. In 2022, Lohan told Cosmopolitan that working on rom-coms was “comforting”.
“It’s always fun to work on something lighthearted and family-oriented that makes people happy and provides a bit of an escape,” she said. “And I was excited to kind of come back, to do something with Netflix, who is a big family in a way.”
