Lady Gaga attempts viral ‘Bloody Mary’ dance from 'Wednesday'

Wednesday is the latest Netflix sensation to take over popular culture, and now, Lady Gaga has recreated the viral dance by Jenna Ortega’s character on the show.

In the hit new Netflix show, Ortega, who plays Wednesday Addams, performs a dance to The Cramps‘ ‘Goo Goo Muck’, which has been everywhere online after it was featured in the show. Additionally, ‘Goo Goo Muck’ has been streamed in massive numbers by fans of the programme, but Gaga has seen an unlikely increase in listens too.

Many fans of Wednesday have recreated the dance on TikTok and used Gaga’s 2011 track ‘Bloody Mary’ from Born This Way rather than ‘Goo Goo Muck’. As a thank you, Gaga has now got in on the trend and made her own version of the ‘Bloody Mary’ dance.

“BLOODY WEDNESDAY,” Gaga captioned the post. Meanwhile, on Twitter, the official Twitter account for Wednesday Addams thanked Gaga for her efforts. The post read: “I see you doing my dance moves to Lady Gaga’s ‘Bloody Mary’. I understand she is followed by little monsters. I approve.”

The programme has broken multiple viewing records since its release on November 23rd. Not only has the show beat Stranger Things‘ record of hours watched in its first week, racking up 341.2 million hours worldwide compared to the sci-fi drama’s 335 million hours, but Wednesday is also set to possibly become the most-watched English-language show on the streaming service.

Since its premiere, it is estimated that nearly 115 million households have watched Wednesday. With over 752.52 million hours watched thus far, the show is the third most popular English-language show on Netflix behind Stranger Things 4 and DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
