A new, yet-to-be-titled Netflix comedy series has been announced, starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody.
The show will centre “on the unlikely relationship between the outspoken, agnostic Joanne and unconventional rabbi Noah.” According to Variety, Brody will play “a charming rabbi who is stuck in his ways and used to playing things safe. He starts to stumble when he meets a brutally honest and provocative Joanne, totally upending his safe life plan.”
Brody is best known for starring in the Fox series The O.C., where he played Seth Cohen between 2003 and 2007. As well as appearing in shows such as Gilmore Girls, Smallville and New Girl, Brady has also featured in films such as Mr and Mrs Smith and Jennifer’s Body. Most recently, he featured in Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
Meanwhile, Bell rose to prominence as the titular character of Veronica Mars before securing roles in shows such as Heroes, Gossip Girl, and The Good Place. She also appeared in films such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Frozen. This new project will be her second collaboration with Netflix following her leading role in The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window.
Bell will executive produce alongside several others, including Erin Foster, who has created the series.
