Kate Hudson cast in Rian Johnson’s ‘Knives Out’ sequel

Kate Hudson has joined the star-studded follow-up to Rian Johnson’s blockbuster murder mystery hit Knives Out.

She joins an ever-growing list of stars that already includes the returning Daniel Craig, along with Kathryn Hahn, Edward Norton, Janella Monáe and Dave Bautista with many more rumoured to be on the way.

As previously reported, Netflix acquired the rights to the sequel in a whopping record-breaking deal believed to be in the region of $450 million, following the $311 million that the original collected in box office profits.

Shooting is due to start on the second film in an unnamed location in Greece from June 28th, providing that safety measures can be arranged.

While very few details are available relating to the plot, it would appear that it will follow an entirely new mystery from the first with Jamie Lee Curtis seemingly ruling the Tromby family out in a statement that read: “To clear up any rumours, the Thromby family is in family counselling and the therapist suggested they stay away from Benoit Blanc in the future,” she wrote on Instagram.

“Linda was fine as she kicked her loafer wearing prick of a husband, sorry @donjohnson to the curb. The rest of them are hustling.”
