Julia Garner offers update about Netflix’s the fourth season of 'Ozark'

Ozark season four will potentially premiere on Netflix in 2022 due to the unprecedented delay due to the coronavirus pandemic. It’s been a while since fans have seen Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman) have a head-on conflict with dangerous adversaries, and fans are eagerly waiting to see the same.

Inarguably, it is one of the most thrilling series produced by Netflix and revolves around Byrde’s predicament when he finds himself embroiled in a dangerous money laundering scheme and becomes the target of an infamous drug cartel. As Bateman tries to shield his family against such dangerous criminals, the story picks up at lightspeed.

The show has had an incredibly successful three-season run so far, with the third season premiering back in March last year. Three months after it aired, showrunners confirmed it had been renewed for a fourth and final season.

This news came as a bittersweet surprise for fans who were probably hoping to see more of Marty and his escapades as he plunges into the criminal underbelly with his ruthless and ambitious wife, Wendy, played by Laura Linney, as adversaries relentlessly pursue them.

Although the official release date has not been announced, one of the cast members has shared an exciting update about the upcoming season. Julia Garner, who plays the intelligent and calculative Ruth Langmore, an essential part of the crime families in the show, has given a clue as to what to expect.

Garner told W magazine about her experience on board the show. She spoke of how the ending made her have a mixed reaction and “hit me in waves”.

“. I met some of my best friends here. It’s almost been like my weird version of a college experience,” she said.

She also shared that the last fourteen episodes of the final season, which will be released in two volumes, have almost concluded filming and wrap up production in October 2021. Since the filming commenced in November 2020 and went on for almost a year, fans are already excited to see the sheer brilliance set to unravel on screen.

The first half of the fourth season will likely premiere in early 2022, with the latter half hitting the platform somewhere near the end. While we will sorely miss Ruth Langmore and her cunning, we still have fourteen upcoming episodes to make peace with!
