Netflix plans to turn up the heat during sweater weather with its next teen show obsession, Sunshine Girls, this year. So, if you’re a fan of the streamer’s coming-of-age slate, you have one more to welcome before 2026 ends.
Helming the fresh production line is a slew of A-list actors and online influencers viewers are used to seeing pop up on their feed almost every other day.
Forming the creative crew are Elisabeth Rogge, Mary Lambert, and Gavin Laing, who co-wrote the series, with Allex Tarr taking the director’s chair. Rob Fishman and Nuria Anson serve as co-creators and co-executive producers with Brat TV, a branch of ZATV, producing the series.

Sunshine Girls is a coming-of-age teen drama series about Olivia, who relocates from the ‘Big Apple’ to Valley Hills in the ‘Golden State’ after her parents split up. Although the California suburb is not exactly a bore, for someone who has lived her entire life in New York City, this move surely makes her feel like a fish out of water.
But once there, Olivia stumbles into horse girl Taylor and influencer Riley, and the trio take on the freshman year headfirst, navigating shaky beginnings, first kisses, and dysfunctional families, while also forming a friendship that’s one for the books.
