Jo Nesbø’s Detective Hole (2026)

The final stop is, of course, Jo Nesbø’s Detective Hole, a textbook fit for anyone who enjoys the dark tone of Blood Sacrifice, where serial killer mystery meets high-stakes internal cop-level corruption. Based on Jo Nesbø’s Harry Hole book series, the Netflix show follows the titular tormented Oslo homicide investigator as he embarks on an intense mission to track down a ritualistic killer who leaves severed fingers and red pentagram diamonds at each crime scene.

While the police initially suspect a religious zealot-smuggler called Martin Amanov, Harry knows better. Jo Nesbø’s Detective Hole revolves around his determined pursuit of the truth and the real serial killer as he navigates a simultaneous battle with his own inner demons while trying to unmask his primary adversary, the deeply corrupt police colleague Tom Waaler, who, unlike Harry, works on the other side of the law.
