Five Netflix shows to watch after ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ season 2

Netflix’s fan-favourite teen sleuth, Pippa Fitz-Amobi, is back in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’s sophomore season with a new mystery to solve after successfully tying the loose ends of the Andie Bell case in the mystery drama’s debut season. While that deserves the drum roll, the release brings its fair share of challenges.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder returned to the streaming platform after two long years of gap that felt nearly endless and undoubtedly satisfied that craving. But what the second also did was leave spectators scouring for more such recommendations, particularly shows with dark small-town secrets, clever amateur sleuthing, or perhaps worthy page-to-screen adaptations.

Although the Netflix library is packed with murder mysteries ranging from YA-adjacent thrillers to darker adult whodunits, tracking them down could be a lengthy process.

So, to cut your stress short, here are five Netflix shows to follow up with if you loved the second season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.

Five shows like A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder to binge on Netflix

Untamed (Thomas Bezucha, Nick Murphy, and Neasa Hardiman, 2025-Present)

If it’s A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’s small-town mystery charm that gets to you the most, Untamed is a stellar choice on Netflix to follow up with after season two. Released in 2025, the six-episode thriller stars Eric Bana as Agent Kyle Turner, an investigator for the National Park Service, who is grieving the mysterious death of his own son. Although ready to end his own life, the story kicks off with the death of “Jane Doe,” bringing him back to life.

Untamed revolves around the investigation of the mysterious murder case at the centre of the series that Kyle investigates with Naya Vasquez, an outspoken rookie and former LA police officer. The series delves deep into the convoluted web of secrets plaguing the seemingly ordinary town, as authorities uncover trails of illegal drug operations in the park and a growing list of missing persons, showcasing the stark contrast between the majestic, rugged beauty of the wilderness and dark, human malice.

Jo Nesbø’s Detective Hole (Øystein Karlsen and Anna Zackrisson, 2026)

Just like A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder adapts Holly Jackson’s acclaimed 2019 novel, Jo Nesbø’s Detective Hole is based on Jo Nesbø’s Harry Hole novels. The detective series follows brilliant but self-destructive Oslo investigator Harry Hole as he tracks a ritualistic serial killer terrorising the town with mutilated victims, leaving a severed finger and a red diamond-shaped pentagram at the crime scene.

Simultaneously, Harry also has to navigate a web of internal corruption at the police department, becoming increasingly obsessed with proving that Captain Tom Waaler is a fish of the deep sea. Jo Nesbø’s Detective Hole revolves around the detective as he figures out his way from the double trouble, uncovering a deep-seated conspiracy where you might just overlook the red herrings.

Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials (Chris Sweeney, 2026)

Another murder mystery adaptation that proves to be in the DNA of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, at least, in certain aspects, is Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials, based on The Seven Dials Mystery, by the Queen of Crime. Set in 1925 England, the three-episode series kicks off at a palatial country house where a practical joke goes terrifyingly wrong when a friend of Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent, Gerry Wade, known for sleeping in, is found dead after eight alarm clocks are planted in his room as a prank.

Despite warnings from all around, Bundle shoulders the responsibility to catch the killer, immediately suspecting foul play. Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials follows her as she embarks on a seemingly impossible mission, ultimately unravelling a deadly international conspiracy involving stolen technology and secret societies, while also making room for unexpected betrayals from her closest ones.

His & Hers (William Oldroyd and Anja Marquardt, 2026)

Based on British author Alice Feeney’s 2020 novel, His & Hers is yet another excellent recommendation to get going with after completing A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season two. The mystery thriller tells the story of reclusive Atlanta news anchor Anna, who travels to her small Georgia hometown to cover a series of murders, after months of living in reclusion following a tragic personal loss.

Upon reaching there, Anna finds out that the detective leading the homicide investigation is none other than Jack Harper, who happens to be her estranged husband. While initially sceptical of each other, His & Hers follows the pair as they each launch their respective investigations, trying to seek the answers behind this heinous murder spree, oblivious to the fact that it all has to do with their collective past they thought they’d escaped.

Run Away (Nimer Rashed and Isher Sahota, 2026)

Lastly, to end the follow-up marathon to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, we recommend Run Away, an eight-episode adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel. The gritty thriller revolves around Simon Greene, a distraught father, on a desperate pursuit to track down her runaway daughter Paige, after she leaves home in a fit of anger.

Although he runs into her at the city park, the situation grows out of control when Simon finds out she’s not alone, leading to an altercation that chases Paige away once again. But when the third person ends up dead, things don’t exactly look good for Simon, launching him into a puzzle of the dangerous underworld of cults, drug cartels, and dark family secrets.
