As fans gear up to view the last instalment of Prince Wilhelm and Simon Eriksson’s iconic romance, Netflix has released a series of first-look images for the third and final season of its beloved show Young Royals.
Netflix announced in December 2022 that the third season would be its last, much to the disappointment of die-hard fans.
The conclusion of season two witnessed Edvin Ryding’s Prince Wilhelm acknowledging his involvement in the leaked sex tape with Omer Rudberg’s Simon from the previous season’s ending.
In the subsequent season, Wilhelm’s family endeavours to keep this revelation under wraps before making a life-changing decision to change his course at the end of the final episode.
The first images from the forthcoming season reveal the return of a significant portion of the cast, featuring dramatic shots that provide a glimpse into the unfolding narrative.
Per Netflix, the official synopsis for season three hints at Wilhelm facing consequences due to his speech “as Hillerska confronts the worst crisis in the school’s history,” posing the intriguing question: “What are they willing to sacrifice when realising that their freedom and love might be at odds with the Royal ideals, traditions, and responsibilities?”
Additional actors making a return for the last season of Young Royals encompass Malte Gårdinger (August), Frida Argento (Sara), Nikita Uggla (Felice), and Pernilla August (Queen Kristina).
