Netflix has secured yet another deal with 21 Laps Entertainment to develop a limited series based on The Perfect Couple by Elin Hilderbrand.
The streamer has provided an official synopsis for the show: “Amelia Sacks is about to marry into one of the wealthiest families on Nantucket. Her disapproving future mother-in-law, famous novelist Greer Garrison Winbury, has spared no expense in planning what promises to be the premiere wedding of the season — until a body turns up on the beach. As secrets come to light, the stage is set for a real-life investigation that feels plucked from the pages of one of Greer’s novels. Suddenly, everyone is a suspect.”
Greer Garrison Winbury will be played by Nicole Kidman, and Liev Schreiber will portray her husband, Tag Winbury. Other cast members include Eve Hewson as Amelia Sacks, Billy Howle as Benji Winbury, and Dakota Fanning as Benji’s sister, Abby Winbury.
Meghann Fahy, who appeared in season two of The White Lotus, will appear as Amelia’s best friend, Midsommar‘s Jack Reynor will portray Benji’s brother, Thomas Winbury, and French icon Isabelle Adjani will play a family friend, Isabel Nallet.
The show has not yet entered production, although filming is set to commence in Massachusetts this month (April 2023) and end in June. There will be six episodes, with Susanne Bier (Birdbox) in charge of directing and executive production.
