A Couple of Lies is a forthcoming psychological thriller about Helen and Carl, who swap lives with Scarlett and Adam to stay at their sun-drenched mansion in Sicily while the other couple settle in their home in Stockholm’s archipelago for a few weeks. Although they have never met, their decision comes with consequences far more troubling than they can imagine.
Just as they start to get comfortable at each other’s houses, eerie details interrupt their peaceful getaways. As if that’s not enough, dark secrets and hidden betrayals take centre stage, and their blissful escape slowly becomes a deadly game of “surveillance, manipulation, and mistrust.”
Who is in the cast?
Frida Gustavsson, Fares Fares, Emma Appleton, and Jakob Oftebro lead the series as Helene, Carl, Scarlett, and Adam, respectively. Gustavsson’s credits include Faithless and Vikings: Valhalla, while Fares appeared in Netflix’s The Decameron and A Day and a Half. Meanwhile, Appleton starred in Netflix’s The Witcher and Traitors, while Oftbro recently appeared in Netflix’s Blood Sacrifice and Black Crab.
Diarmuid Noyes, Magnus Krepper, Anna Bjelkerud, and Lars Varinger round out the ensemble in yet-undisclosed roles.
