Netflix is gearing up to welcome viewers to a 2026 winter wonderland with the long-awaited second season of North of North. So, pack your bags for a ride to Ice Cove, Nunavut!
Co-created by Stacey Aglok MacDonald and Alethea Arnaquq-Baril, the new season of the comedy series set in the fictional Arctic town follows young Inuk mother Siaja as she makes fearless decisions, and even more fearless mistakes, in an attempt to upgrade her life.
But as always, the toughest part is to show, beyond a doubt, to her close-knit Arctic community and herself that she’s ready to step up and take charge.
So, if you were all in on the debut season, here’s a comprehensive guide to everything you need to know about the follow-up season of North of North.
What is the plot?
As temperatures drop in Ice Cove in the second season of North of North, Netflix’s comedy series, Siaja is more determined than ever to improve her life and the lives of everyone around her. So, taking pilimmaksarniq, the Inuktitut understanding of mastering skills via observation, practice, and labour, as her guiding light, she goes all in to make everything better.
By persuading her boss, Siaja tries to take more responsibility at the community centre. Meanwhile, back at home, she’s trying to learn more about the half-sister she didn’t know existed. As for her love life? Well, she’s keeping the door open after her divorce. Through it all, she’s trying to put her best foot forward, raise her daughter, Bun, with her mother, Neeve, and newfound father, Alistair, convinced the best part of her life is yet to come.
