If there’s an entity in showbiz who excels with the concept of chaotic family drama, it has to be Dan Levy. The good news is: he’s officially coming back on Netflix with yet another wildly dysfunctional family in his new comedy series, Big Mistakes, premiering this year.

The upcoming comedy series is not just a laugh-out-loud ride; it carries crime elements, which only adds to its hilarity.

Netflix unveiled the faces of Big Mistakes, along with some behind-the-scenes pictures from production earlier and recently teased a release window for the same.

For those curious to know more, here’s a rundown of everything to know about Big Mistakes on Netflix.

What is Big Mistakes on Netflix about?

Big Mistakes promises to bring a complete chaotic saga, focusing on two deeply misfit and incapable siblings, who are lured into the world of organised crime via blackmail. Although the plot details are mostly kept under wraps, fans can expect more updates to surface about the comedy series over time.

Who is in the cast and crew?

Dan Levy, who made his feature directorial debut with Good Grief in 2024, will star, serve as showrunner, and executive produce Big Mistakes. Big Mistakes serves as Levy’s second original scripted series, the first being Schitt’s Creek. Rachel Sennot is co-creating and executive producing the show. Anne-Marie McGintee executive produces the show for Not a Real Production Company.

In a conversation with Tudum, Levy said, “I’m so excited to be bringing this truly chaotic family story to life with Netflix. I’m thrilled with the team we’re building, both behind the scenes and in front of the camera. Taylor Ortega is going to become a household name, and it’s been my life’s mission to get to call Laurie Metcalf ‘mother.’ Looking forward to getting to share this with everyone.”
