Everything we know about Netflix’s 'Resident Evil' live-action series

All Resident Evil fans will be thrilled to uncover that a brand new live-action series is set to stream on Netflix. For years, rumour mills have been awash with speculation, and finally, it is going to be released, reportedly by the end of 2022.

This Netflix original is based on the eponymous Capcom game that has an avid fanbase. The streaming giant, which is also thinking of venturing into the gaming realm, is tapping up a huge pool of people with its latest cunning move. The 1996 franchise was so popular that it led to various sequels, video games, books, novels as well as an acclaimed film franchise.

Netflix is seemingly milking this enthusiastic interest in the Resident Evilverse by producing a live-action series as well as two animated projects. The news was purely hearsay until last August when Netflix finally confirmed the same via social media.

While we eagerly wait for the series to premiere on Netflix, here is every detail we know so far about Netflix’s Resident Evil live-action series so far.
