Every movie and series leaving Netflix this week: July 2025
Netflix giveth, and Netflix taketh away. As fresh titles keep landing on the platform each week, a few quietly pack up and leave. Sometimes, without anyone noticing, it is too late. This week is no different, with a handful of movies scheduled to exit the Netflix library. And while the list may not be massive, it still includes a few titles you might want to catch before they vanish.
Let us be honest, we all have that one title sitting on the watchlist for months, waiting for the “right time”. Well, if that title happens to be on this list, the right time is officially now. Whether it is an offbeat indie, a misunderstood box office miss, or a strange little documentary you never got around to, this week is your last call.
One of the most notable exits is Dumb Money, a buzzy drama based on the infamous GameStop stock saga. Starring Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, and Pete Davidson, the film attempted to make meme stocks cinematic. Did it succeed entirely? Not really. But it was entertaining enough to deserve a watch, especially if you missed the Reddit-fuelled financial chaos the first time around.
Another departure that might catch your eye is Life or Something Like It, an early-2000s romantic drama starring Angelina Jolie with platinum blonde hair and a perfect blowout. Is it a cinematic masterpiece? Absolutely not. But if you are in the mood for a throwback film that feels like the emotional equivalent of a MySpace status update, it is weirdly comforting.
Also saying goodbye this week is The Neon Highway, a 2024 country-music-themed character drama that never really broke through the noise. It follows the story of a washed-up songwriter chasing a final shot at relevance. The story is modest, the pace is slow, but the emotional undercurrent is surprisingly earnest.
Then there is Mister Organ, a New Zealand documentary that feels like something you would find by mistake at 2am and then spiral into a group chat about. It tells the true story of a mysterious man who manipulates and controls the people around him in absurd and terrifying ways. Strange, dark, and oddly addictive. If you are into bizarre real-life stories, this might be your last chance to watch one of the weirdest.
And finally, Prophetess, a Nollywood sports comedy with dramatic twists and supernatural flair, is also on its way out. If you enjoy chaotic energy, football fandom, and wildly unpredictable storytelling, this one deserves your time before it disappears.
Interestingly, no series are leaving Netflix this week. It is one of those rare stretches where the TV side of your watchlist remains untouched, giving you a breather from the usual binge-before-it-is-gone pressure. So if you have been meaning to start something new, you can do so without the fear of it vanishing overnight.
