Every movie and series leaving Netflix this week: June 2026
As Netflix keeps freshening up its catalogue, a handful of films and series are getting ready to leave the platform this week. In fact, the latest batch includes a highly controversial film from 2024, the legal suit for which got resolved earlier this year.
Yes, we are talking about one of the most talked-about book adaptations of the last year: It Ends With Us, which spent months taking over social media before it came to the cinemas and is now already on its way off the streaming service. But that’s happening on June 9th.
The first departures land on June 8th. El paseo 6 (2021), the latest entry in the popular Colombian comedy franchise, is heading out after bringing another round of family holidays and mix-ups. Going alongside it is season one of No Doubt in Us, the animated Chinese fantasy romance that mixes palace scheming with a body-swap storyline. The series picked up a decent following among viewers after something a bit lighter than the usual historical dramas.
June 9th also brings the week’s biggest exits. Released back in 2005, A Lot Like Love arrived at a time when Hollywood rom-coms could pretty much guarantee a decent turnout at the box office. Starring Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet, it follows two people whose paths keep crossing over the years before romance finally starts to blossom. It might not have reached the same legendary status as some of the genre’s biggest hits, but it’s still a proper comfort watch for loads of rom-com fans. So hurry up.
The bigger talking point, though, is It Ends With Us (2024). Based on Colleen Hoover’s massively successful novel starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, the film arrived carrying huge expectations and sparked debates well beyond its core audience. Readers argued over how faithful it was to the book; casual cinema-goers weighed in on the performances. But the main player was social media, which kept the whole thing rolling for months. A sexual harassment suit that followed the success of the film was just resolved, but sadly, the film will mostly be remembered by that instead of the sensitive issue of domestic violence it tried to raise.
Two films are heading out on June 10th. K-19: The Widowmaker (2002), directed by Kathryn Bigelow, tells the story of the real-life crisis aboard a Soviet nuclear submarine during the Cold War. Led by Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson, it combines historical events with survival drama and remains a solid entry in the military thriller genre.
Also leaving that day is Swelter (2014), a crime thriller centred around a former bank robber suffering from memory loss.
Now, TV viewers are losing something a bit bigger with all four seasons of TURN: Washington’s Spies getting removed. Based on the true story of the Culper Ring, the AMC drama explored the intelligence network that helped George Washington during the Revolutionary War.
The final title heading out this week is Keith Robinson: Different Strokes (2021), leaving on June 11th. More than just a standard stand-up special, Robinson’s performance stands out because of the personal story behind it.
From modern literary adaptations and nostalgic rom-coms to historical dramas and thrillers, this week’s Netflix departures are fewer in number but more in variety. If there are any of these you’ve been meaning to watch, you might want to shove them right to the top of your watchlist before they disappear.
