Netflix is keeping it low with this week’s departures, and the reason is really sad. The reason is that the OTT is saving it all for the first on August, where it’s going to do us all real bad. Before all that kicks off, though, Sliding Doors is off on July 28th.

And we’re telling you what: that’s the one you will want to squeeze in again. Gwyneth Paltrow’s life splits in two depending on whether she catches a Tube train. Did you know director Peter Howitt reportedly got the idea after nearly being hit by a car? You couldn’t write it.

Then Tallulah goes on July 29th, and what’s that all about? Elliot Page plays a drifter who takes a neglected baby and seeks help from her ex-boyfriend’s mum (Allison Janney). A little odd but a nice watch.

What’s surprising is it’s a Netflix Original. Yes, really. Even something with that red “N” can disappear when the rights run out.

Now, families have got even less time. Dog Man leaves on July 30th after what feels like five minutes. It opened at number one in North America, made about $146 million worldwide, and now it’s legging it already.

Same day, Here is leaving as well. The Robert Zemeckis one with Tom Hanks and Robin Wright. Then Obvious Child follows on July 31st. There’s absolutely no stopping.

Then comes the dreadful day of August 1st. Absolute bedlam. Pretty Woman, Atonement, American Gangster, Ex Machina, Amy, Chef, Lucy, Hacksaw Ridge and the whole Meet the Parents lot all vanish together. Give over! Who’s made that decision?

And TV fans aren’t getting away with it either. All eight seasons of Home Improvement are off, along with Fate/EXTRA Last Encore, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Miniforce: Super Dino Power.

So yes, July is sneaking out, but August has got no indoor voice whatsoever. Finish them now.
