Every movie and series leaving Netflix next week: August 2026

Now, here’s something you don’t see every week: a Netflix departures list you can count on one hand. Just four titles are on their way out across August 24th and 25th, and yes, that really is it. Netflix has spared the viewers this time. Huzzah!

The first departure of the week is on August 24th with Article 15, a 2019 Indian crime drama with a rather heartbreaking story. It starts with a police officer who investigates the disappearance of three girls, and though it sounds like a missing persons case, the investigation shows him the ugliness of caste discrimination.

Director Anubhav Sinha drew the story from real incidents when making the film, which gives the whole thing an edge. So if you are in the mood for a light little crime watch, this is the wrong door, people.

Sharing the August 24th exit is Under Fire, season one, a Belgian series about a crew at the East Bank fire station. The crew deals with emergencies while their own lives keep producing new problems.

But do you want to know what’s really problematic here? Under Fire has the Netflix Original badge. Yet out it goes. Netflix doesn’t spare its own kin.

August 25this taking Can You See Us? away. The acclaimed Zambian drama about Joseph, a boy with albinism growing up in a world that treats him as an outsider. Yeah, it’s a sad story, and what makes it worse is that it is based on the story of Zambian musician and activist John Chiti. Did you know the film became the first Zambian movie to reach Netflix?

And yes, Netflix saved the biggest name for last. Tom Hardy returns as Eddie Brock in Venom: The Last Dance for the final chapter of the Venom trilogy. Sadly, out the window on August 25th.

So there you have it: four titles signing off. Netflix has not swung an axe this time; it has just waved a butter knife. Still, August 24th and 25th are your deadlines. Make your choice.
