Every movie and series coming to Netflix this week: June 2026
After a massive drop of old and new movies and series, we have now officially entered the second week of June, where Netflix has slowed down the speed of releases a bit. But don’t be sad because between June 8th and June 14th, Netflix is dropping a mix of dramas, thrillers, documentaries, reality TV, and a few underrated films.
It’s not one of those weeks where there’s a massive blockbuster stealing all the attention. Instead, it’s packed with the sort of titles that came years ago and didn’t catch your eye.
Things get underway on June 8th with a bit of nostalgia. Sesame Street is back with more episodes, which will keep the little ones happy, while all three seasons of Shrill are arriving for anyone who missed it the first time around. If you are after a funny, heartfelt series about finding your confidence and figuring life out, it’s well worth adding to your watchlist.
On June 9th, football fans can have a look at Norway: The Dark Horse, a new documentary arriving as World Cup fever starts kicking in. Even if you are not glued to every match, these underdog stories tend to pull people in.
The same day also brings 12 Hour Shift, and honestly, the less you know going in, the better. It’s got crime and black comedy with both thrill and fun elements all mixed together.
Following that, June 10th might end up being one of the strongest days of the week. Netflix is adding Colors of Evil Black, a Polish thriller centred around a missing child investigation.
There is plenty happening on the series front, too. Outlast: The Jungle is bringing more survival competition mess, whereas Rosario Tijeras returns for another season, and football fans get The Rest is Football, featuring Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer, and Micah Richards talking all things World Cup. There is a lot of football going on this week, and why not? The FIFA season is approaching.
Then we get to June 11th, and that’s where things really start picking up. The biggest returning favourite is undoubtedly Sweet Magnolias. Five seasons in and people still can’t get enough of the comfort-drama vibes, the friendships and all the small-town drama that keeps viewers coming back for more.
Film fans aren’t being left out either. Loving Vincent arrives and remains one of the most visually stunning animated films ever made. Every frame looks like a painting, which makes sense given it’s inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s life. Alongside that, you’ve got Mapplethorpe and the Taiwanese comedy-drama Double Happiness joining the library.
June 12th brings I Am Frankelda, an animated family adventure that’s already generating a bit of buzz thanks to its connection to Guillermo del Toro. Meanwhile, The Polygamist looks set to deliver plenty of drama and messy relationships.
As for June 13th, all eyes will likely be on Song Sung Blue. Starring Kate Hudson and Hugh Jackman, it is based on a true story about a married couple chasing their dreams through a Neil Diamond tribute act. Sounds mad on paper, but sometimes those are the stories that end up being the most heartwarming.
Finally, June 14th wraps things up with Piece by Piece, a documentary about Pharrell Williams told entirely through LEGO animation. It’s a bit different and probably one of the most intriguing releases of the whole week. So, if your watchlist’s looking a bit bare, you’ve got plenty to be getting stuck into.
