Every movie and series coming to Netflix this October 2026
is being a little excessive with October, and you know what, fine. Halloween might have dibs on the month, but Netflix is adamant about making it all about itself with its brand-new additions.
Netflix is starting October with one of its most ambitious projects, East of Eden, with Florence Pugh playing Cathy Ames in Zoe Kazan’s seven-episode adaptation of John Steinbeck’s novel. Christopher Abbott and Mike Faist are in the cast, too, and an interesting fact to know is that Kazan’s grandfather, Elia Kazan, directed the 1955 adaptation starring James Dean. That is one heck of a family hand-me-down.
Ben Affleck is spicing things up on October 9th with Animals, which he directs and stars in as an LA mayoral candidate whose son gets kidnapped. Kerry Washington plays his wife, and once the ransom demand is made, all the tension falls upon their marriage, and if we have learned anything from the Affleck and marriage combination onscreen, we know some hot tea will be spilt.
Ahhh, another one of Netflix’s fan favourites, The Diplomat, is returning with season four on October 15th, with Keri Russell returning as Kate Wyler after the mess season three left behind.
October 16th belongs to Sacrifice, and though this might not be a Netflix Original, this comedy-adventure is stepping foot on Netflix, with the delightfully odd combination of Chris Evans and Anya Taylor-Joy. If not for the story, you must watch this one for the chemistry.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 releases on October 20th with a new ten-episode story set in Night City, and following it on October 22nd is Nobody Wants This with season three and Kristen Bell and Adam Brody back as Joanne and Noah. Many have been looking forward to bingeing this duo dealing with new chaos, and since they will be moving in together this time, only God knows what wrath is coming their way!
Hey, Lupin is alive! Part Four will be taking the throne on October 23rd after a three-year gap, with Omar Sy returning as Assane Diop. The disguises and con games are back, and Paris is all set to be dragged into his schemes again. One hell of a wait, we must say.
October 27th has a heartbreaking documentary, The One About Matthew Perry, releasing, and it will talk about Perry from a never-before-seen angle. The series looks beyond Chandler Bing and into Perry’s career as well as his struggles with addiction, which gives the month something more intimate after all the craziness.
