Every film leaving Netflix in September 2022

If you are a cinephile like me, you will not miss out on watching a film, whether it is good or bad. Of course, online platforms barely scratch the surface of the wonders of being in a real cinema theatre. However, in the last two years, platforms such as Netflix kept us company through the cold lonely nights. I started loving the comfort of watching and enjoying my favourite movies indoors. This article will focus on the list of dear films that leave us and the streamer in September.

The part of this process that does pain my heart is when I miss out on watching a film that remained at the back of my list somewhere. This is often because I simply did not know where to look when they left, or let’s be honest, forgot about them in this world of rapid content creation. But Best of Netflix has curated a list for both you and me of every film that bids us farewell this month. Find the time in your day to go through as many of these as you can cause they might never return to this streamer.

From the classic horror A Nightmare on Elm Street to our favourite Oscar nominee of best CGI feature film How to train Your Dragon 2, there is truly a lot leaving us behind with saddened hearts. Horror and thriller fans, get glued to your screens now because the biggest list of masterpieces to leave the platform is from the former genres. Films that we have all grown to love and appreciate like Nightcrawler, Constantine, Insidious and, of course, a classic, A Nightmare on Elm Street. If you want to know more about the best thrillers currently on Netflix, you can find them here

But the highlight of the month is, of course, the sci-fi classic dear to our hearts, Blade Runner: The Final Cut/2049. Ridley Scott’s 1982 sci-fi wonder world of Blade Runner, which was created way ahead of its time, finally finishes its long run on the platform. From high-tech adventures to the use of film noir, all whilst featuring Hollywood star Harrison Ford. The plot follows Ford, who was hired to hunt android robots.

Although the infant release was a bit of a failure, the revised cut released in 2007 received considerable applause for the sheer futurism the creation of the film portrayed. Continuing the pattern of Hollywoodised sequels to big franchises, the big-budget continuation of the story in “Blade Runner 2049” also starred Ryan Gosling alongside Ford. The new director, Denis Villeneuve wisely decided to deflect from the original style of the franchise and creates a rather dark and murky narrative which creates its own path. Do not miss out on giving these films a final shot before they leave our virtual lives, perhaps forever. Check out the trailer for the sequel here!

So without further ado, let’s break into the list of films that will leave us this month!
