Every film and series leaving Netflix this week: June 2023

As new content arrives on Netflix, the platform also cleans its existing roster. Before these titles leave the streaming giant this week, this is your chance to catch them one last time.

On June 13th, we have Okko’s Inn (2018) departing. It is a heartwarming animated film that follows a young girl’s journey in a mystical inn. Picture a Scientist (2020), a thought-provoking documentary that explores gender bias in the scientific community, is also spending its last week on Netflix.

June 15th brings us more departures, including the Portuguese series Borges (season one). If you’re in the mood for a lighthearted romantic comedy, don’t miss the queer drama Front Cover (2015). Marlon Wayans’ NBC sitcom Marlon seasons one and two also leaves the platform on June 15th.

Action enthusiasts can catch the terribly low-rated and hammy Rogue Warfare: Death of a Nation (2020) one last time, while reality TV lovers can tune into The Mole, a reality competition where contestants work together to add money to a pot, but one of them is secretly chosen as the Mole to sabotage their efforts. The contestants must uncover the Mole’s identity while completing challenges and vying for the prize.

The Show Must Go On: The Queen + Adam Lambert Story (2019), a documentary showcasing the extraordinary collaboration between Queen and Adam Lambert, also bows out. The Belgian crime drama Unit 42 season one bid adieu after its run as a Netflix original.

On June 16th, the lineup of departures includes the animated Avengers Climate Conundrum (2020), the marine documentary Pacificum: Return to The Ocean (2017), another critically bashed horror flick The Darkness (2016), and the Spanish detective drama The Last Hour (2017).

Finally, on June 17th, we have a couple of action-packed departures: the formulaic 2 Guns (2013), starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg, and the generally panned French buddy cop dramedy Belleville Cop (2018), featuring Omar Sy.

If you love classic films, then make sure to watch the Egyptian crime drama Cairo Station (1958), directed by Youssef Chahine. The IMDb blurb for the film cryptically states: ‘A newspaper salesman at the train station in Cairo develops an unhealthy obsession with a woman who sells refreshments.’
