As 2022 is coming to an end, Netflix is adding a plethora of content to its shelves to make the year-end on a memorable note. However, the streamer is also on the verge of removing some of the titles to make space for the new ones.
After a particularly difficult start to 2022, the streamer picked up in the final quarter with controversial releases like DAHMER resuscitating the viewership besides its new business model.
The streamer is on its way to adding some coveted titles in December, including Rian Johnson’s whodunit murder mystery sequel to Knives Out, Glass Onion, the third season of the fan favourite Emily in Paris and the live-action adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Matilda. Other new releases will include Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, Brad Pitt’s Bullet Train and the much anticipated documentary Sr. starring Robert Downey Jr.
The streamer will, however, be bidding adieu to two of Stanley Kubrick’s brilliant creations, namely A Clockwork Orange and Eyes Wide Shut, besides Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine, which stars Cate Blanchett and Alec Baldwin, and Tom Hopper’s Award-winning film, The Danish Girl, which recorded one of Eddie Redmayne’s best performances to date.
