Bob Odenkirk in stable condition after "heart-related" incident on set

The Breaking Bad and Nobody actor Bob Odenkirk is in a stable condition after collapsing on the set of Better Call Saul on the 28th of July.

Whilst filming the Breaking Bad spin-off series in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Odenkirk reportedly collapsed and was quickly rushed to hospital by the production crew. Representatives of the actor have now confirmed that the actor is in a stable condition, releasing a statement through Deadline that reads, “We can confirm Bob is in stable condition after experiencing a heart-related incident”. 

Continuing, the statement adds, “He and his family would like to express gratitude for the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, as well as his cast, crew and producers who have stayed by his side”.

The family also added, “The Odenkirks would also like to thank everyone for the outpouring of well wishes and ask for their privacy at this time as Bob works on his recovery”. 

News from The Hollywood Reporter suggests that Bob Odenkirk had suffered a heart attack, with sources close to the show’s production stating that the incident happened halfway through shooting a scene. 

Words of well-wishes flooded in from across Hollywood and the wider world on Twitter, including from significant industry names Judd Apatow, Ron Funches and Bryan Cranston, with the former Breaking Bad co-star stating on Instagram, “Please take a moment in your day today to think about him and send positive thoughts and prayers his way, thank you”.

Whilst we await the final report of the incident, we hope for the speedy recovery of the much-beloved actor.
