Every show and film coming to Netflix in September 2022

With the onset of movies and series being premiered and released on Netflix in September 2022, it is safe to say that this platform is making mad moves. Beginning with a classic romantic comedy Love in the Villa (2022), based on an original screenplay by Marken Steven Johnson who is also the director, starring Kat Graham, from How it Happened, playing the role of a girl with a plan to go on a romantic trip in Italy with her lover who cancels on her.

To make it worse, the villa she booked for the vacation ended up being double booked and ended up sharing her villa with a rather attractive yet uptight man played by Tom Hopper from The Umbrella Academy. The story ventures into the fate of these two strangers brought together by the chance of fate in a rather uncomfortable situation. Will it bloom into something more?

Alongside the original, other exciting releases include the limited series of Devil in Ohio written by Daria Polatin, inspired by a true story. This horror mystery revolves around a story of a psychiatrist called Dr. Suzanne Mathis (Emily Deschanel), who decides to take in an escapee of a cult- the story unravels how the doctor’s life changes dramatically following that.

Cobra Kai (Season five), picks up the story of Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) 35 years after the Oscar-nominated classic, The Karate Kid (1984). Following the events of the All Valley Karate Tournament in 1984, Johnny makes a comeback by establishing the Cobra Kai Academy. No one expected this spinoff focusing on Johnny’s journey would gain such traction among the audience and soon grow to be one of the most anticipated shows of recent history.

This action drama series is all ready to have possibly the most intense season of it so far, featuring a comeback of the fan-favourite, Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan) from The Karate Kid III. Even without Barnes entering the big screen, Cobra Kai continues to grow alarmingly. In an interview with Sony Pictures Television, Star Ralph Macchio says, “Another big thing in season 5 that was exciting to explore and dive deeper into is the Daniel and Amanda dynamic with the great Courtney Henggeler, who does such a wonderful job in that role. They dive deeper into couplehood, into parenthood, and into areas that just seem more true to life. I’m very excited for season 5.” How will it all come together? We will find out soon with the exciting release on September 9th

Continuing this list of impressive releases is Season 2 of Fate: The Winx Saga being released on September 16th. Followers are impatiently waiting for some questions to be answered with this new season, as the previous one ended with quite a few loose ends. Based on an animated television series Winx Club, Bloom (Abigail Cowen) begins her adventure on a journey to learn more about her roots and heritage.

Other classic shows being added to the platform alongside new releases and series premieres include Major Dad and a piece of happy news for all the Vamp Sires (as the fans like to call themselves), all the eight seasons of The Vampire Diaries and several other movies being added, a few namely: Resident Evil: Retribution (2012), Snow White & The Huntsman (2012), This Is 40 (2012), amongst others.
