The first full trailer for Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire, the two-part film series focusing on a group of rebels defending their planet against a threat, has now been released.
Rebel Moon will arrive in two separate movies and is said to have been “decades in the making”. The trailer is out now for the first adventure of the film, called Child of Fire.
The trailer introduces us to Sofia Boutella’s character, Kora, a strange and mysterious woman with an interesting past living on the moon of Veldt with humble farmers.
When spaceships suddenly enter the atmosphere of the moon, Kora understands that these new visitors from the Motherland have not come in peace but are likely there to take action against the farmers.
The farmers look to have sold some crops to a group of insurgents, which has angered the Motherland. Kora then sets out to find a group of fighters who will defend Veldt and its inhabitants.
The film will feature the likes of Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Staz Nair, E. Duffy and Anthony Hopkins. Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire will be released on Netflix on December 22nd 2023, and Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver will follow on April 19th 2024.
