Yvette Brown is none the wiser about ‘Community’ movie

The American actor Yvette Brown has come out to say that she “knows nothing” about the upcoming Community movie, casting doubt about her involvement with the project.

Confirmed back in September, seven years after the finale of the NBC TV series, the movie is set to be directed by show creator Dan Harmon, with the likes of Ken Jeong, Donald Glover, Alison Brie, Danny Pudi, Joe McHale, Gillian Jacobs and Jim Rash all slated to return. Despite the homecoming of these key cast members, Brown recently told Variety that she knows nothing about the new movie.

“I don’t know anything about the movie – I literally know nothing…You know as much as I do,” she told the publication, to the disappointment of fans of Community worldwide.

Pressed further by the publication, who asked if she’d received an offer to be in the movie, Brown responded, “I don’t know anything about the movie! I keep telling people I don’t know anything, and they keep asking me. I don’t know nothing about the movie. Nothing”. Continuing, she added that she only knew about the movie because “Joel McHale said it was happening”.

Loved by fans for six seasons, Community became an instant hit upon its release in 2009, making a name for such actors as Donald Glover, Ken Jeong and Alison Brie.

Each one of the celebrated series can be found available to stream on Netflix.
