You only have one day to watch these 10 movies on Netflix
Deadlines are funny things. They are both attention-grabbing and completely ignorable. A short space of time can encourage you to either complete your task within the timeframe set or set a time to which you can procrastinate. Luckily, with this deadline, the procrastination can be as good as adhering to the timeline. Netflix has set a deadline of a little over a day for you to watch these movies.
As is the ever-changing world of streaming platforms, Netflix has a constant run of shows coming on and off the cyber shelves of its library. But as more and more new additions are provided this month, it means a bunch of titles must also be cleared off. These movies are set to leave Netflix on August 1st, so if you want to watch them on the platform, you best get your skates on.
The list of ten covers a wide spectrum of content. From the very good to the very forgettable, the ten movies mentioned in our list below have one thing in common: they won’t be around for very long. So, best set your sights on the best ones and get working on watching them.
If you were to ask us which ones to aim at it would be the brilliant Bill Murray movie Groundhog Day from 1993, the equally wonderful but somewhat easier watching Easy A and the charmingly frivolous Just Friends.
The former is a wonderfully crafted romp. Bill Murray stars as Phil Connors, a cynical weatherman trapped in a time loop, repeatedly reliving Groundhog Day. Initially exploiting the loop for personal gain, Phil eventually embarks on a journey of self-improvement and genuine connection, transforming his life and outlook in the process. It’s near-perfect viewing and should be the first stop on your 24-hour journey to complete the list.
Released in 2010, Easy A follows Emma Stone’s Olive Penderghast, who fabricates a scandalous reputation to boost her social standing. It naturally offers a little more easy-going watching. Inspired by The Scarlet Letter, Olive navigates the pitfalls of high school gossip, ultimately learning valuable lessons about honesty, identity, and the consequences of rumours.
The final recommendation is for some pre-Deadpool fun. In this 2005 romantic comedy, Ryan Reynolds plays Chris Brander, who returns to his hometown after years of being a successful music executive. Formerly an overweight, awkward teenager, Chris tries to win over his high school crush, Jamie, confronting his past insecurities and learning about genuine love and friendship.
If you can only watch three movies in the next 24 hours on Netflix, then make sure it is these ones.
