Why you should be excited for the ‘Little House on the Prairie’ adaptation

Netflix never disappoints with its adaptations, especially when the source is literary. So, it’s about time viewers buckle up for Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House on the Prairie as a new adaptation gears up to land on Netflix this year.

Wilder’s Little House books, based on her own experiences growing up in the American West in the 1880s, are widely loved and acclaimed. Although written during the Great Depression and published originally in the 1930s, her stories were adapted into a TV series, Little House on the Prairie, which ran for almost a decade in the 1970s and into the 1980s.

Now, with Netflix putting its foot down to reimagine the classic for a new generation, viewers can expect “part family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin of the American West.”

So, if you are curious about what’s to come, here’s everything you need to know about Little House on the Prairie on Netflix.
