When do new ‘Ginny and Georgia’ episodes arrive on Netflix?

Back in February 2021, Ginny & Georgia arrived on Netflix for the first time, and it looked like a sweet teen dramedy with a Gilmore Girls twist. Can you believe the show debuted to over 52 million viewers in its first 28 days?

But as the show moved ahead, we saw darker and juicier incidents, which were instantly addictive. With Georgia’s secrets, Ginny’s teenage shenanigans, and a supporting cast that always kept things messy, the show quickly became one of Netflix’s most reliable hits. By 2023, it had ranked in Netflix’s most popular chart in more than 90 countries and had become one of the platform’s most-watched family dramas worldwide.

Season two followed in January 2023, pulling viewers deeper into the mother-daughter storm. And by the time season three dropped this year, fans had grown used to the rhythm of bingeing all 10 episodes at once. Don’t we all love to gasp at Georgia’s ability to stay three steps ahead and then head online to scream about those cliffhangers?

That’s the magic of Ginny & Georgia. It is a show that balances small-town happenings with shocking twists, all while giving its leads the space to be flawed, frustrating, and unforgettable. And after season three left viewers with more questions than answers, the one everyone is asking now is simple: when will season four arrive?

The good news is Netflix has already renewed the show for a fourth season. The streamer confirmed the news when season three was announced, promising that Ginny and Georgia’s complicated story isn’t ending any time soon. Season four will begin filming on September 29th, 2025, in Toronto and is expected to run until February 2026, with a production budget estimated at $30–50 million. But the frustrating part is that Netflix has yet to share an official release date. No trailer. No teaser. Not even a vague premiere window.

So, what does that mean for fans? Looking at the show’s history, the gaps between seasons have been fairly long. Season one to season two took nearly two years. Seasons two to three took about two and a half. If that pattern holds, season four could realistically land in late 2026 or early 2027. That’s speculation for now, but it’s the most reasonable timeline given Netflix’s track record with the series.

While the wait might be long, it does give the creative team time to properly build on the explosive cliffhangers of season three. Without spoiling too much, fans can expect season four to dig further into Georgia’s past and the fallout of her decisions. Ginny, meanwhile, will probably continue to wrestle with growing up under the shadow of a mother who will do anything (literally anything) to protect her family.

Showrunner Sarah Lampert has teased that season four’s central theme is “Cycles and Origins,” with Georgia confronting her estranged family members and even beginning therapy for the first time.

Until Netflix drops more concrete news, all fans can do is rewatch the first three seasons and relive the twists as they brace themselves for the storm still to come. Because if one thing’s certain, it’s that Ginny & Georgia knows how to make the wait worthwhile.
