What is the plot?
Sins of Kujo, Netflix’s forthcoming Japanese original drama series, follows Taiza Kujo, an ally of the dark side of law, infamous for taking on the most dangerous, ethically wrong cases. According to Netflix, Kujo’s work motto is simple, but unnerving: “A lawyer isn’t guided by ideology; my duty is simply to defend my client.”
So, harnessing the law as ammunition, Kujo represents and shields the most remorseless, merciless villains, forcing viewers to introspect and confront the thin line between justice and corruption in the law system designed to protect innocents.
Who is in the cast?
Yuya Yagira has been cast as Taiza Kujo in the Netflix series, Sins of Kujo, who previously starred in Asakusa Kid. Meanwhile, Hokuto Matsumura will play Shinji Karasuma, who is set for his acting debut in the Japanese adaptation. Elaiza Ikeda will portray Hitomu Yakushimae, having previously starred in Netflix’s Tokyo Swindlers, and Keita Machina will portray Kengo Mibu, best known for appearing in Netflix’s Glass Heart. Muro Tsuyoshi as Kiyoshi Kyogoku and Takuma Otoo as Yoshinobu Arashiyama round out the main ensemble.
