Watch the trailer for ‘Run Rabbit Run’ with Sarah Snook

A trailer has been released for Run Rabbit Run, which stars Sucession’s Sarah Snook as a mother unnerved by her daughter’s memories of a previous life.

The new Australian thriller comes from director Daina Reid and writer Hannah Kent, who have released the first trailer alongside confirmation of a screening at next month’s Sydney Film Festival.

Run Rabbit Run already made its world premiere as the opening title of the Midnight section of the Sundance film festival back in January. Set to land on Netflix on June 28th, it stars Emmy nominee Snook alongside Damon Herriman and Greta Scacchi.

Reid was previously nominated for her directorial work on The Handmaid’s Tale. Her production company Carver Films has developed several horror films and crime thrillers, and she’s found work directing Apple TV’s The Shining Girls, HBO’s The Outsider and Amazon’s Upload.

Run Rabbit Run was originally supposed to star Handmaid’s Tale star Elizabeth Moss, who has since been replaced by Snook. Reid and Snook previously worked together on the limited series The Secret River. Based on an original idea by Carver Films, Run Rabbit Run is written by South Australian novelist Hannah Kent, who wrote best-sellers Devotion and Burial Rites.
