Watch this terrible Maisie Williams sci-fi film on Netflix

Maisie Williams became a household name after reprising her role as the fearless Arya Stark in HBO’s Game of Thrones. While the show was met with criticism towards the end of its running, Maisie Williams was lauded for her performance as the sword-wielding, determined youngest Stark daughter.

Following her stint at HBO, Maisie was seen in quite a few films which, however, failed to live up to her reputation as Arya Stark. In 2017, she was seen in a sci-fi film that received negative reception and can be considered one of her most terrible films of all time.

Directed by Adam Randall, the 2017 sci-fi film iBoy stars Williams and Bill Milner in lead roles.

The film revolves around a high-schooler named Tom who witnesses a group of men trying to escape after sexually assaulting his crush, Lucy, played by Williams. During the scuffle, parts of Tom’s smartphone get ingrained into his brain, sending him into a coma.

He wakes up to realise his superpowers and decides to use the same to exact his revenge on the gang responsible for this mindless sexual violence.

Randall’s film abounds in cliches and turns it into a complete disaster, despite Williams’ great performance. Extremely slow and gimmicky, the film loses its potential due to poor execution while trying to incorporate grim realism within a substandard and dreary narrative.

If you are in the mood for terrible films, go ahead and watch iBoy on Netflix now.
