Watch these two iconic animated movies before they leave Netflix next week
Netflix’s animation catalogue is currently getting its ducks in a row for a major heartbreak with two of the most iconic animated movies, Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2, leaving next week.
Despite March being a month of animation with movies like Trolls, The Bad Guys, and The Lego Movie strutting the top ten charts every week, April is preparing for a major shake-up. Scheduled to leave Netflix on April 1st, this officially leaves you less than a week to get done with blockbusters.
If you’ve been meaning to catch up with Gru and his yellow henchmen, now is the time to hit play. Although other titles from the franchise, like Despicable Me 3 and Minions: The Rise of Gru, may linger a bit longer depending on your region, the time is soon going to be up for the first two films, which sparked a global phenomenon.
While the Despicable Me movies have always been a hit, whether at the box office or on Netflix, by now, it has become a piece of pop-culture history. As a result, whenever they make themselves comfortable on Netflix, especially the first few entries, the nostalgia factor kicks in, helping viewers appreciate why the film series became so popular in the first place.
