Netflix has finally released the much-anticipated trailer for the upcoming Indian Hindi-language comedy crime thriller, Guns & Gulaabs (Guns and Roses) and it looks dope.
Created and directed by Raj & DK, known for her stylistic sense of flair, the series looks like an enthralling ride through the cartel-run town of Gulaabgunj, where crime and chaos reign supreme.
The series boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including the talented Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, Adarsh Gourav, Goutam Sharma, Gourav Sharma, and Gulshan Devaiah.
The premise of Guns & Gulaabs takes viewers back to the 90s, a world of crime and violence, where love, innocence, humour, and romance intertwine. The trailer cleverly blends nostalgia with crime, presenting a narrative that revolves around a lovestruck mechanic, a reluctant gang heir, and an honest officer-turned-agent-of-chaos.
Adding to the excitement, the series pays homage to the golden era of Bollywood, creating a seamless fusion of genres. With its pulpy, retro titles and audio design, Guns & Gulaabs looks like an entertaining nostalgia trip.
The show’s creators, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., known more popularly as Raj & DK, have demonstrated their quirky storytelling abilities previously in the popular series The Family Man and Farzi, as well as films like Shor In The City, Go Goa Gone starring Manoj Bajpayee.
Guns & Gulaabs is scheduled to be released on Netflix on August 18th, 2023.
