'Virgin River' season 5 to arrive on Netflix in summer 2023

Are you excited about the release of season five of Virgin River? Well, we’ve got some slightly unfortunate news, with the latest series not due to hit Netflix until Spring 2023 at the earliest.

Fans of the show, which follows a nurse practitioner Melinda Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), who moves from L.A. to a remote Northern California town to seek a fresh start, were hoping that the show’s fifth season would drop on Netflix’s September release window. Such will not be the case, however, with the show not set to be released until around June 2023.

Season three of the show premiered in July 2021 to much joy from fans, encouraging Netflix to renew the show for two more seasons, resulting in season four in summer 2022 and a forthcoming series coming in the near future.

`After the fourth season of the show dropped some game-changing moments, including the engagement of Mel and Jack as well as the reveal as to who shot Jack in season two, the forthcoming release of the fifth series will have a lot to live up to. First released in 2019, the guilty-pleasure romance has been a low-key rating hit for Netflix, providing a strong contrast from their high-profile shows like Stranger Things and Selling Sunset

Alongside Breckenridge in the lead role, the show also features the likes of Martin Henderson, Tim Matheson, Colin Lawrence, Grayson Maxwell Gurnsey, Benjamin Hollingsworth and Annette O’Toole.
