Before the second part of season two could even premiere, Netflix officially gave Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black the greenlight for a third and final season.

This means Kimmie is confirmed to return with twice the drama on her designer coattails, and you’d better be prepared.

In addition to renewing Beauty in Black, Netflix also announced the release date of the second part of season two, coming your way on March 19th, 2026. Netflix additionally released a slew of new photos from what’s to come, which you can check below.

The first season of the series dominated the top ten charts for seven whopping weeks, and in the second week, Beauty in Black was the number one title in 28 countries. In fact, the first part of its second season was also the number one show in 14 countries in its second week.

Since the show’s debut, Beauty in Black’s primary protagonist, Kimmie, has come a long way, having gone from dancing to make ends meet in the Chicago club scene to becoming the chief operating officer of the hair-care empire Beauty in Black. As of now, Kimmie is the Head Bellarie in Charge of the family, under the apprenticeship of her husband, business tycoon Horace Bellarie.

“Kimmie’s transformation has honestly been one of the highlights of my career so far. Getting to dive into a character’s evolution is one of my favourite things ever about acting. I think her confidence really stems from Horace. He believed in her from the start, and he’s been coaching her on how to not only survive this family, but [also how] to take up her rightful space with them. Now we’re finally watching her step into that power, and it’s so fun to play,” Taylor Polidore Williams told Netflix.

For those in need of a recap, the first part of Beauty in Black’s second season concluded with Kimmie’s first day at the office as COO. But it’s safe to say, no Bellarie is exactly waiting to welcome her with a garland of flowers.

While the shift within the power dynamics is already infuriating, Horace’s sons, Roy and Charles, are far from ready to regard their new stepmother as their “boss.” Not to forget Horace’s brother and ex-wife, Norman and Olivia, who also have their sights set on the hair care business.

But just because Kimmie has managed to show Jules and Roy’s estranged wife, Mallory, their places, don’t expect the former queen bee to bow down just so fast. “Mallory has a few tricks no one sees coming. If you think she’s already done her worst, you’re not ready,” Crystle Stewart warns viewers.
