The trailer for Kevin Hart’s movie ‘Lift’ has been released

The first official trailer for Netflix’s original film Lift sees Kevin Hart trying to steal a plane 40,000 feet in the air. The heist comedy movie will premiere on the streaming service early next year.

Lift will arrive on Netflix two years after Hart signed a deal with the streamer to produce and star in four movies, an agreement in which he also managed to secure a “first-look” deal for his HartBeat Productions studio.

Since the deal was made, Hart has starred in and produced Fatherhood and Me TimeLift, however, looks like a starkly different affair as he plays an experienced thief who plans to hijack and steal a place mid-flight.

The film sees Hart’s character’s crew facing time in prison for a wide variety of crimes, including identity theft, money laundering, and transportation of stolen property.

Lift will premiere exclusively on Netflix on January 12th 2024, and will see Hart play thief Cyrus Whitaker, who is tasked by his ex-girlfriend, who has now joined the FBI, to steal $500 million in gold from a plane.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw plays girlfriend Gabby, and she and Hart are joined by the likes of Jacob Batalon, Jean Reno, Sam Worthington, Burn Gorman, and Viveik Kalra. F. Gary Gray will direct.
