Tom Brady loses his cool over one joke during Netflix roast

Tom Brady, one of the greatest legends of American football, surprised fans by agreeing to be roasted on The Greatest Roast of All Time. However, despite guest appearances from some of Hollywood’s elite, including Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy, it didn’t go exactly as he had planned.

Among the comedians who stepped up and accepted the invitation to lampoon the sports star, Jeff Ross managed to make a significant impact and solidified his reputation as “Roastmaster General”.

The comedian was given the moniker after becoming a stable of the specials that used to air on Comedy Central, where he was involved in every single one dating from 2005 to 2019. His hit list included Alec Baldwin, Justin Bieber, Joan Rivers and more.

Brady stands out as somewhat different, though, if only because he gained fame as an athlete. Largely acknowledged as the greatest quarterback in NFL history, he spent 23 seasons playing in the league for the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

When joking about the time when Brady was selected by the New England Patriots in the NFL draft, Ross clearly touched a nerve and made the athlete upset.

Ross said: “So, Tom became a Patriot, moved up to New England, and on the first day of training camp, the scrawny rookie famously walked into the owner Robert Kraft’s office and said, ‘I’m the best decision your organisation has ever made… would you like a massage?’.”

Upon hearing the joke, Brady interrupted Ross’ set. He got up from his seat and whispered into the comedian’s ear: “Never say that sh** again.”

Responding to Brady’s sudden and unexpected command, Ross responded: “OK, OK.” He added: “He’s [Kraft] having fun, look at him.”
